It grows on you. September 3, 2010 Arboleda Crisostomo (Honolulu, Hawaii) After using them for sometime, I now consider these earbuds the best earphones/headphones I have (though I'm cheap). After listening through a variety of phones around the house, I'm amazed at the amount of audio information I get from this set. Now I use them for everything: Home Theater, MP3 Player, Digital Home recording etc. For comparison, I just purchased an Audio Technica ATHM40FS Headphones since I need a new one for my audio mixer anyway. As I started getting better and better headphones, I'm starting to think that you can't have too many of these.
Junk August 25, 2010 alexicon The sound was okay on these, though after only about 1.5 months of use the left earbud is blown out and the right is running at about 50%. The plastic pieces that go into your ear barely fit and also fall out constantly, so by the time these junk headphones had crapped out I was down to 2 of the initial 6 "universal" earpieces. A waste of money, look for something better.
Altec Lansng UHP606 July 18, 2010 KikuSushi Excellent value for money. Sounds like the SuperFi 4 i used to own. The seal is very good.
Excellent sound and value July 16, 2010 Bic (CA) I have to laugh at some of the reviews on here. For the price (around $25), there isn't a better earbud out there. I have two pairs (and have dumped a handful of other brands that cost 3x the price) and they sound great. I use these on day hikes (4-6 hrs x 3-5 days a week) and I'm really pleased at their durability after being yanked out of my MP3 player numerous times while in dense brush. Finally, after a year, the left earbud wire wore out - couldn't ask for better.
Good for its price; decent for its qualities July 7, 2010 Yan Qiong Yuan (Honolulu) Lemme lay down why I actually bought this: this earbuds have garnered many favorable reviews from tech critics such as CNET - with its good build quality and sound quality. After my V-Moda bass freq have gave up on me after a year, I decided to switch to this brand.
Pros (+):
+ Affordable price* (currently) - although it is being sold at around $23, its launch retail price may not be worth it (~$90)
+ Plastic-coated cloth cables increases durability
+ Isolates most of the background noise
+ Backbeat Pro comes with a carrying case
+ 2-year warranty
+ Decent sound quality
Cons (-):
- Mediocre bass quality (not enough thump)
- Weak volume quality - meaning you may have to increase your volume level to get decent sound levels
- Cables still get tangled up nonetheless
