Great Value August 27, 2010 Hank For the price, these are some of the best. I've been enjoying them alot at work, and I needed something that I won't mind breaking when I head back to college in the fall. Later in life I'll invest in something at the next level.
As a music listener, I suggest these cans to college and high school kids
Good Quality For The Price July 31, 2010 Selene R. Well, when I first received my headphones, I first noticed the guy in the front of the package, it looked like he was paid in ice cream or something. Sorry I had to get that out of the way :)
When I finally got them out of the package they seemed a little too cheap, I feared that they could break (I give my headphones a lot of abuse). They haven't broken yet, and I hope they won't. I also noticed that they were pretty lightweight. I have found that the 10 ft cord has been very useful, although sometimes it gets annoying, I just coil it and hold it with a rubberband. They are also stylish, and i have seen that many people complain that sometimes long hair gets stuck in them, I haven't had this problem and my hair is really long. Other people have complaints that after awhile of using them, their ears start to hurt, I personally haven't had this problem, but then again I have small ears. They are quite comfortable in my opinion.
I decided to buy this kind of headphones because I was used to using the earbuds, but they are not healthy for your ears. when I first tried them, they seem not be very loud, so I started raising the volume on my mp3. After a minute or so I started getting used to them I actually found that they were really loud and had to lower the volume by a lot (this phenomenon is cause by using earbuds a lot).
The sound quality is really good, I am sure that there are headphones that have better quality, but they cost more money also. The bass gets annoying at times, but just adjust the sound effects on your mp3. So if you are looking for amazing sound quality, then i suggest you spend a couple bucks more on a more expensive set of headphones.
So in my opinion, if you are looking for an upgrade from those crappy headphones and earbuds that come with the mp3s, then these headphones are what you are looking for. The sound quality is much better than those, not to mention that they are healthier for your ears than the earbuds. The price is good and affordable.
only thing good about it is the long cord July 1, 2010 wewa (honolulu) Ugh.
Anyone giving it a good review must be listening to MP3s at bitrate of 8k or something.
Or they have no experience listening to a Koss or Grado.
Even some of the crappy Plantronics and Sennheiser are better.
I am comparing it to a similar priced Koss Porta Pro.
Both are made in china. what isnt?
But the sound quality is night and day.
The packaging for the HA shows that frequency response is 7-21k. Hah!
Thats why I picked it off the shelf, but shame on JVC. Lies! All lies! NFW!
Get yourself a Koss Porta Pro and enjoy the sound and the crappy styling.
Amazing. June 14, 2010 Afzala Shaheen For the price, you can't get much better. The headphones are lightweight and comfortable, especially with the swiveling ear pads. Sometimes I even forget I'm wearing them. The sound quality is pretty decent too, as everything is loud and clear. The only fault I can find is the long cord (almost 10 ft) can get annoying at times. However, some see this as a plus.
Good headphones for the money June 7, 2010 Luis A. Morales (Miami, FL USA) Cant beat this. Overall good headphones for the money. Sound quality is ok and isolation from the outside world is ok as well. Everyone can hear only if turned up on the loud side but over all this is a good product.
